Minister: Vaccines and Evros border fence to define Greece's safety in 2021

The new year of 2021 will be one of “security, as defined by the coronavirus vaccines and the Evros border fence”, said Citizen Protection Minister Michalis Chrysochoidis, speaking at the Greek-Turkish border region of Evros on Tuesday, ANA reports.

“2020 was a year that tested us all, both here at Evros and also in the country’s intensive care units,” he noted. “In 2021, we will beat the virus and we will be a safe country, as both Greeks and Europeans, because the men and women of the armed forces and the police are guarding our borders effectively and are making us proud.”
