A state of emergency has been declared in the municipality of Tyrnavos and the municipal unit of Potamia within the Elassona municipality, both in the Larissa regional unit, as well as the municipality of Farkadona in the Trikala regional unit, in order to address the emergency needs and manage the repercussions of the strong earthquake in these areas on March 3, ANA reports.
The state of emergency was declared at the orders of Deputy Civil Protection and Crises Management Minister Nikos Hardalias and will take effect for six months from the day of the earthquake, lasting until September 3.
