The broad meeting in the Civil Protection for the optimal coordination of all the competent bodies and the better confrontation of the consequences of the strong heatwave that hits the country was completed on Friday, ANA reports.
The Minister of Citizen Protection Michalis Chrysochoidis underlined that all together – the state and local government – will work together to prevent any unpleasant situations. As he said, their work will move in four axes, the increased readiness for prevention of fires, the uninterrupted operation of critical infrastructure, the provision of services to vulnerable groups that will seek housing and care as well as the protection of workers.
