Greek authorities announced that the new laboratory-confirmed cases of the coronavirus recorded in the last 24 hours are 3,689, of which 3 were identified after checks at the country’s entry points, protothema.gr reports.
The total number of cases is 1,037,759 (daily change + 0.4%), of which 50.5% are men. Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 199 are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 2,764 are related to an already known case.
The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 85, while since the commencement of the epidemic a total of 19,976 deaths have been recorded. 95.2% had an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older.
The number of patients treated by intubation is 670 (61.8% men). Their median age is 64 years. 80.6% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older. Among intubated patients, 555 (82.84%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 115 (17.16%) are fully vaccinated.
Since the start of the pandemic, 3,667 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
