Emergency meeting for readiness of Greek state against upcoming adverse weather

An inter-ministerial meeting was held on Friday at the Climate Crisis & Civil Protection Ministry, chaired by Minister Vassilis Kikilias, about the upcoming storm front expected to hit the country in the coming week, ANA reports.

The meeting focused on the adverse weather conditions expected to start affecting Greece on Monday at Thessaly, central Greece, which was severely stricken by the recent storm ‘Daniel’.

Participants in the panel highlighted the need for absolute readiness of the entire state apparatus, as well as of regional authorities and local government authorities, against the impending extreme weather.
