Tinos and Strovolos Nicosia are launching a twinning with a strong tourist footprint, bringing the Cycladic island closer to Megalonisos.
The ceremonial visit of the Mayor of Strovolos and First Vice President of the Nicosia Provincial Organization of Local Government, Stavros Stavrinidis, to the Mayor of Tinos, Panagiotis Krontiras, paved the way for a collaboration that aims to strengthen cultural exchange, religious tradition and tourism between the two regions.
Tinos, with its deep religious identity and authentic island character, and Strovolos, one of the most vibrant and developing areas of Nicosia, agreed to proceed with the twinning procedures, recognizing the common elements and the prospects for cooperation.
This new initiative is expected to function as a bridge to reconnect Greece and Cyprus in the tourism sector, creating opportunities for joint actions, promoting destinations and strengthening travel flows between the two islands.
