DKG Development delivers Safe House for victims of domestic violence in Piraeus

DKG Development, a real estate development company with a significant footprint in the urban regeneration of Piraeus, in collaboration with the Piraeus Police Department and the voluntary organization specializing in social support, delivered today a fully renovated and equipped shelter (Safe House) for the protection of victims of domestic violence.

This initiative responds to a growing social need, as incidents of domestic violence are recording an alarming increase in our country. This new space was designed with safety, privacy and dignified hospitality for victims – mainly women and children – who are in a state of threat or abuse.

DKG Development fully undertook the configuration, logistical support and equipment of the structure, within the framework of the corporate social responsibility actions that it has been consistently implementing in recent years.

“Social responsibility is not a simple obligation for us, but an integral part of our identity. Supporting vulnerable groups and strengthening social cohesion is a priority for us,” said the President and CEO of DKG Development, Konstantinos Petrides, during the handover of the space.

The structure will operate under the supervision of the Piraeus Police Department and with the constant presence of specialized scientists from the collaborating voluntary organization, ensuring immediate intervention, protection and psychosocial support to the victims.
