Ministry of Development: Warning About Fraudulent Message Claiming Free Holiday Products

The Ministry of Development informs citizens that in recent hours a fraudulent email has been circulating, falsely appearing to come from the Ministry of Development and offering a “free holiday package.” The ministry emphasizes that this is an attempt to deceive the public.

In a related announcement, the ministry noted that the Cyber Crime Division has already been informed about the case.

The message being circulated, which the Ministry of Development denies, reads as follows:

Dear fellow citizens,

By direct order of the Minister of Development, Mr. Takis Theodorikakos, and fully funded by the Social Cohesion Fund, the National Program “Christmas Family Rescue 2025” begins IMMEDIATELY.

EVERY Greek family—regardless of income—is entitled to a completely FREE holiday package filled with selected Greek products, so that no home in our country spends the holidays without joy and abundance.

Your family’s package includes:

1 lamb or goat (8–10 kg)

1 turkey (4–5 kg)
