The applications for investment plan grants for accessible beaches in Zacharo and Andravida-Kyllini were approved by the Ministry of Tourism, following the acceptance of objections, within the framework of the Action Improvement and Modification of Accessibility to Greek Beaches of the Recovery and Resilience Fund, which is financed by the European Union NextGeneration EU.

Among other things, the action includes interventions related to the construction of non-permanent beach access ramps (supply of a non-permanent ramp system for access of people with mobility issues to the sea, supply of a wheeled ramp system for their access to the sea, etc.), supply of non-permanent auxiliary facilities such as prefabricated changing rooms, portable sanitary spaces, and walkways consisting of sections of suitable length for easy transport and storage during the winter season, necessary accessible beach equipment, special signage, and other infrastructure elements, as applicable.
