Greece’s “co-capital” Thessaloniki plans to celebrate on Saturday 13 the Chinese New Year at the city’s Chinatown area at Aisopou street.
Chinese shopkeepers will welcome the “Year of the Red Fire Monkey” with traditional celebrations that will last from 10.00 am to 14.00 pm.
Local streets will be decorated with traditional red color ornaments prepared by the representatives of the Chinese community, while on Saturday a colorful parade will take place and visitors will be given the chance to sample the famous Chinese cuisine.
