Rhodes: The season kicks off on March 28, wounds from "Bora" storm remains

There is intense concern among hoteliers on the “Island of the Knights”, since the wounds left in Rhodes by the bad weather “Bora” have not healed. It is recalled that the Rhodes Hoteliers’ Association sent a letter, on January 24, to the Ministers of the Interior, Tourism and the Deputy Minister of Development, requesting the urgent need for funding for the restoration projects of public infrastructure and the areas that were affected.

The letter underlines the seriousness of the situation, as the tourist season, which begins on March 28, 2025, and is expected to be particularly dynamic, requires the timely restoration of the damage to ensure the smooth operation of the tourist activity. The hoteliers point out that the delay in the necessary interventions will have significant impacts on both tourism and the local economy.

The hoteliers, for their part, are systematically proceeding with the restoration of the damage to their hotel units, in order to be ready for the start of the summer season. At the same time, they declare their willingness, to the extent of their capabilities, to contribute to the efforts to restore the overall image of the island.
