A dream to promote Western Lesvos is coming to life with the creation of Explore Lesvos, a new initiative focused on the development of sports and experiential tourism. Starting from Skala Eressos, Explore Lesvos offers organized cycling tours, bike rental services, as well as upcoming trekking routes and running races, such as the Fterga Trail to be held in Pterounta on August 10.
The initiative’s official website, explore-lesvos.gr, is now live, inviting visitors and residents to experience Lesvos in a sustainable, active and enjoyable way — through nature, villages and the lesser-known beauties of the island.
Explore Lesvos has a fleet of brand new 2025 bicycles from the Greek company IDEAL BIKES:
• Electric Mountain Bikes (All Terrain 29”): Suitable for mountain and asphalt, with speedometer and battery meter.
• Non-electric Mountain Bikes (All Terrain 29”): For flexible and demanding cycling on any terrain.
All bikes are provided with branded, adjustable helmets, ensuring maximum safety and comfort for the rider.

Explore Lesvos is headquartered in Skala Eressos, at “The Wayoutisland” gym (Kanari Street), where most activities start.
This is an ambitious and at the same time essential initiative that aspires to highlight one of the most authentic destinations of Lesvos, while promoting sustainable development and connection with the natural environment.
