Patras is preparing to host the Development Forum for the 28th year, an institution that has been giving a platform to businesses, institutions, universities and civil society for almost three decades. On November 22 and 23, 2025, at the My Way Hotel and online at forumanaptixis.gr, Western Greece will once again be at the center of the public debate on development. Starting in 1998, the Forum has evolved into the largest multi-conference-exhibition in Western Greece: more than 660 conferences, 3,300 speakers and over 125,000 participants reflect its dynamic. Behind the organization is the company “Symboulos E.E.”, with the newspaper Symboulos Epichereiseon and the portal symboulos.gr being points of reference in the business and economic world.

This year’s theme focuses on four major challenges concerning the future of society and the economy:
The Democracy of Development – Who decides and with what priorities.
Demographic Shift – Low fertility and population decline as “time bombs”.
Lack of Human Resources – Difficulties in finding executives in critical sectors.
Resilience in the face of the Climate Crisis – Protecting development from natural disasters.
