A delegation of the TUI Rhodes Marathon, led by the President of the Organizing Committee, Marietta Papavassiliou, participated in the TUI Palma Marathon Mallorca, which took place on October 19, 2025. The participation took place upon invitation of the organization and is also part of the TUI Mediterranean Marathon League (MML).
The presentation of the Rhodes Marathon in Mallorca took place through the TUI MML stand at the TUI Palma Marathon EXPO, bringing the destination and the race into contact with thousands of runners and visitors. It is noted that the Rhodes Marathon had previously participated in the Berlin Marathon EXPO, while in the future it will also participate in other important exhibitions, such as those of the London, Paphos, Palermo marathons, etc. in the context of extroversion and promotion of the race.
The Rhodes delegation also participated in the 5 km race, experiencing the pulse of the event and enjoying the unique running experience. In the context of a special event organized by TUI at the Professional Association of Architects of the Balearic Islands, Ms. Papavassiliou had the honor of meeting with Mr. Sebastian Ebel, CEO of TUI. Mr. Ebel emphasized the importance of sports tourism and Mediterranean marathons for the Group, highlighting the strategic investment in actions that connect sports with tourism.
The event was also attended by other senior executives of the TUI Group, including Thomas Ellerbeck (Member of the Executive Board and Chief Sustainability Officer), Magnus Hüttenberend (Chief Communications Officer), Marco Ciomperlik (CEO TUI Airline) and Peter Ulwahn (CEO TUI Musement). of TUI Airline, and Peter Ulwahn, CEO of TUI Musement.

It is noted that both the Rhodes Marathon and the Mallorca Marathon are members of the TUI Mediterranean Marathon League, along with the Paphos and Palermo Marathons. Each race takes place in a Mediterranean coastal city, offering participants the opportunity to run by the sea, amidst a magnificent setting of natural beauty and cultural tradition.
Registration for the TUI Rhodes Marathon, which will take place on April 26, 2026, is already open on the official website www.rhodesmarathon.gr . Runners can register for the Marathon, Half Marathon, 5 and 10 km distances.
The co-organizers of the race are the Urban Non-Profit Company MARATHONIOS RHODES, the Region of South Aegean, the Municipality of Rhodes, the EAS SEGAS Dodecanese and the University of the Aegean.
The event is supported by the Rhodes Hoteliers Association, the Dodecanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Museum of Modern Greek Art of Rhodes and the Dodecanese Antiquities Office, while it is under the auspices of the General Secretariat of Sports, the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports and the Greek National Tourism Organization.
The TUI Rhodes Marathon is held with the certification of SEGAS and the International Marathon Road Federation AIMS, on an excellent coastal route that “runs” through the most important sights of Rhodes.
