ITTF Warsaw: Strong Polish interest in Halkidiki

The Halkidiki Tourist Organization successfully participated in the International Tourism Fair ITTF Warsaw 2025, which took place from 20 to 22 November in Warsaw, confirming the strong and constantly growing dynamics of the Polish market for our destination.

The TOX in collaboration with the Region of Central Macedonia, the Thessaloniki Tourist Organization and the Pieria Tourism Organization continued their successful cooperation at this exhibition by participating in the GNTO promotional booth.

Poland is now among the most important markets for Halkidiki, thanks to its large population, its enhanced travel power and – above all – the manifestation of a constant preference for Greece and our region. In recent years, there has been a continuous increase in arrivals, an element that was also confirmed by the interest of visitors to the Organization’s pavilion, which recorded a particularly high attendance throughout the exhibition.

During the ITTF, the Director of the TOX, Giorgos Broutzas, made a series of targeted contacts with the leading Polish travel agencies and Tour Operators that have contracts with hotels in Halkidiki, Rainbow, Grecos and TUI, as well as with smaller agencies that showed their interest in including hotels in Halkidiki in their programs. These meetings strengthened existing collaborations and opened new prospects for further joint promotion and promotion actions.

The direct Warsaw-Thessaloniki air connection is a decisive factor in strengthening the tourist flow to Halkidiki. The route is now served not only by LOT Polish Airlines and Aegean Airlines, but was recently strengthened with the addition of TUI Poland, offering the traveling public even more choices and increasing the accessibility of the region.

The charter flights that have essentially “opened” the destination since 2023, combined with the organized fam and press trips, the promotion through TOX’s participation in international tourism exhibitions, as well as the presentations at B2B events and workshops, have contributed significantly to strengthening the presence of the Polish market. Today, Poland has now occupied third place in air arrivals to Halkidiki.

A special honor for the Organization was the visit to our booth of the Ambassador of Greece in Warsaw, Ms. Niki Kampas, as well as the Consul and the Commercial Attaché, who expressed their support for the efforts to promote Halkidiki in the Polish market.

TOH President Grigoris Tasios stated: “The participation of the Halkidiki Tourist Organization in ITTF 2025 confirms that Poland is a strategically important market and that Halkidiki continues to win the interest and hearts of Polish travelers.”
