Special veterinary clinic for wild mammals and carnivores in northern Greece

The first veterinary clinic for wild mammals, the only one in Greece that will deal with incidents involving wild carnivores, was set up by the organisation for wildlife “Arcturos”, ANA reports.

“It is very important because the main population of the brown bear lives in the wider region of western Macedonia and Epirus,” a spokesperson of the organisation Panos Stefanou told the Athens-Macedonian News Agency adding that Arcturos will now have the opportunity to address directly and effectively the increasing and difficult incidents of the nursing of wolves, bears and other wild animals.
