With the aim of establishing the Peloponnese as a leading destination of authentic experiences and high added value, the Peloponnese Region announced its intention to finance actions within the framework of the Public Investment Program and Priority Axis 5.2, which focuses on the development of infrastructure and tools for alternative forms of tourism – from agrotourism and mountain tourism, to wellness and city breaks.
The call for proposals is open until June 30, while the total public expenditure amounts to 1,360,000 euros.
Multi-level intervention for tourism support
The funding covers a wide range of actions that focus on enhancing the promotion of the destination, education, research, and data analysis, as well as strengthening the Region’s digital tools. In detail:
Digital tools and governance
Development and operation of the business. VisitPeloponnese.com platform, which will function as a digital portal for interaction with tourism professionals.
Use of the visitpeloponnese.com BI system for the processing and sharing of business data.
Training and local synergies
Peloponnese Tourism Workshops On Tour: A program of mobile seminars with locally adapted content, in 5-10 different locations within the year.
Strengthening the visibility and brand of the Peloponnese
- Advertising on third-party channels (physical and digital), for B2B and B2C audiences, domestic and international.
- Management and content for the Region’s digital channels, with production of material for social media, newsletters, and the visitpeloponnese.com portal.
- Audiovisual productions for campaigns, creative advertisements, and photographic material for the enriched content bank.
- Production of printed materials and corporate gifts, also in view of the introduction of the new Place Brand of the Peloponnese.
- Familiarization trips for bloggers, content creators, and representatives of the special press, with approximately 10 different events planned in various parts of the Region.
- Co-advertising with airlines, targeting the new flights of 2024 and those planned for 2025.
The new package of actions attempts to fully utilize the potential of the Peloponnese and enhance its recognition as an experiential, sustainable, and technologically advanced tourist destination. Interested parties are invited to submit their proposals by June 30, claiming part of the available funding and contributing to the tourism renaissance of the Peloponnese.
