The research was based on an extensive analysis of more than 2.4 million traveler reviews on popular rating platforms, with the aim of identifying the beaches that garner the most mentions of the phrase “clean waters”. The beaches that recorded the highest percentage of relevant positive reviews were ranked at the top of a list of 50 beaches worldwide.
Based on the data, Prassa beach in Kimolos is at the top, since 43.56% of the reviews regarding this beach explicitly mention its “clean waters”. This is a percentage that surpasses any other destination in the world, confirming Greece’s reputation as a country with unparalleled natural coastlines and crystal clear waters.
Greek dominance on the list
Greece not only takes first place but also confirms its strong position on the global tourism map, occupying a total of three positions in the top five of the list. More specifically:
