The Ministry of Tourism has approved the Standard Environmental Commitments (SECB) for the main hotel accommodation Sidari Beach Hotel, with a capacity of 68 beds, located in Agios Ioannis Karousades, in the Municipality of North Corfu. The operator is the company “KYMA DUE E.E.”.
According to the decision, the project falls under the fixed environmental commitments provided for by the Joint Ministerial Decision 59845/24-12-12 (Government Gazette 3438/Β΄), both for the construction and operation phases. The commitments include general guidelines, specific measures for the construction, as well as strict specifications for the operation of the accommodation, in order to ensure the protection of the environment and the sustainable development of the area.
The process was activated following a relevant opinion and report from the Ionian Waters Department and the Ionian Islands Regional Tourism Service, while no changes arise that require new PPDs beyond those already in force.
