The 2nd International Conference “Smart Islands” will be held in Kastelorizo on September 20 and 21, at the initiative of the International Hellenic Association (IHA), in collaboration with the Municipalities of Megisti, Vari-Voula-Vouliagmeni, Kalymnia and Kifissia, under the auspices of the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece.
The aim of the Conference is to exchange views and seek solutions for the important issues of small Greek islands, such as energy, water, education and medical care, by utilizing modern technology and respecting the geophysical character of each island.
The organization follows the success of the first Conference held in 2024 in Pserimos and brings to the fore the collaboration between Greek diaspora organizations and Local Government for the sustainable development of the islands.
