Stella Tsani, Associate Professor at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, stands out this year as one of the three finalists for the European Sustainable Energy Awards (EUSEW Awards 2025), in the “Women in Energy” category.
Her nomination recognizes her contribution to bridging scientific research with practice, through actions that strengthen sustainable energy, environmental policy, and the empowerment of young scientists. With experience in international organizations such as UNEP and IPCC, and an active presence in shaping evidence-based policies, Tsani is a role model for the new generation of women in the clean energy sector.
The EUSEW Awards annually honor individuals and initiatives that contribute to Europe’s energy transition. The winners will be announced on June 10 in Brussels, as part of European Sustainable Energy Week. Online voting remains open until June 1.
