Athens metro drivers union cancels Thursday's scheduled work stoppage

The union of Athens metro drivers cancelled a scheduled work stoppage on Thursday, after they had a meeting with a Labour ministry official, it was announced on Monday.

The union is demanding the retroactive payment of their social security contributions for heavy and arduous jobs. Representatives will meet with the ministry’s general secretary again on Tuesday.
