A new direct train service linking the port of Piraeus with Athens’ international airport “Eleftherios Vanizelos” will start on February 1, Greek train operator TRAINOSE said on Tuesday, according to ANA.
The journey will take one hour and three minutes and will be available once per hour while the company is also planning for a service that will link Acharnes Railway Center (known as SKA) with the airport once per hour and eight new services -in each direction- for the SKA-Koropi section. The latter aims to facilitate commuting on the suburban railway with four additional morning services and four in the afternoon on working days and during rush hour.
