The Athens Metro Employees Union on Wednesday announced a planned work stoppage on Easter Tuesday, April 10, which will affect lines 2 and 3 from the beginning of the shift until 9:00 in the morning, ANA reports.
According to a union statement, the warning strike is strike is held in opposition to the “degradation of Athens metro organisation and infrastructure” that include “massive shortages in spare parts, consumables, basic items, personal protection gear and staff” that are necessary for the smooth running of the underground railway and have brought “equipment, installations and staff to breaking point.”
