Athens traffic restrictions cease for the summer after Friday

Athens traffic restrictions for vehicles travelling into the city center will be lifted as of Friday for the summer, police said on Monday, according to ANA.

All vehicles, with the exception of large trucks, will be allowed to travel into the center of Athens without the odd-even number plate rule being in effect. The rule foresees that vehicles with license plates ending in even numbers enter only the downtown area on even days of the month, while vehicles with license plates ending in odd numbers can only do so on odd days.
