Athenians will be the ones to decide on the color of the new tram, as the company operating the Athens tram network will conduct an online survey running from January 1 to 13, according to greekreporter.com.
Attiko Metro said on Thursday that commuters will have a choice between three themes and colors: City, which comes in gray tones, Heritage, in orange, and Cyclades, which is blue and representing the Greek islands.
The interior of the cars will match the color of the exterior while the company will add 25 new cars to the existing fleet. The new cars will be delivered by Alstom Transport at the end of 2019 as part of a 54-million-euro deal signed last summer.
