A Greek railway line in northern Greece and its upgrade to boost freight commerce to Bulgaria and Turkey is among transport projects the EU is funding with a total of 117 million euros, the European Commission announced on Friday, ANA reports.
The Pythion-Ormenio railway line in Greece’s northernmost municipalities of Didymoteicho and Trigono, in the Evros region, will be funded with 1.4 million euros to upgrade the existing line as well as lay a second one.
