Passenger traffic up 77% on first day of restrictions-free movement in Greece

Despite a 77% rise total in passenger traffic on Monday, the first day of the partial lifting of coronavirus restrictions, citizens exhibited responsibility in observing safety guidelines, Transport Minister Kostas Karamanlis said on Tuesday, according to ANA.

Monday saw some 457,000 ticket validations, almost double the passenger traffic total compared to one week earlier on April 27, when restrictions were still in effect and some 258,000 passengers punched a ticket.
