“The timetable for the Thessaloniki metro will be met and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ visit on Tuesday to Thessaloniki is held, for this reason, to signal that something is changing in this city, the project will continue and will be delivered in its entirety in 2023,” Infrastructure and Transport Minister Kostas Karamanlis said on Monday, according to ANA.
The minister went to Venizelos station, where he saw that the removal of the backfilling has begun, noting that this means that the solution “Metro and Antiquities” will be followed with the removal and repositioning of the antiquities.
