Three new metro stations on line 3 – Aghia Varvara, Korydallos, and Nikea – are to be delivered on Monday, in the presence of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Infrastructure and Transport Minister Kostas Karamanlis, ANA reports.
It is estimated that the three stations will serve 60,000 people every day, a number that will further increase when the extension of line 3 reaches the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus in 2022. The distance between Nikea and Syntagma will be covered in 14 minutes, while that between Nikea and the Airport in 55 minutes.
With this extension to Nikea, line 3 will now have 24 stations, which will rise to 27 in 2022 with the addition of three more stations, at Maniatika, Piraeus, and the Piraeus Municipal Theatre.
