Metro trains resume service to Athens International Airport after snowstrom

Metro trains resumed normal operation on Wednesday from Doukissis Plakentias to Athens International Airport, after stopping on Tuesday morning due to extreme snowfall over the Athens basin, ANA reports.

In the meanwhile, another technical meeting on the response to the cold weather front began on Wednesday at 17:00 at “Olympos”, the Greek fire brigade’s mobile operations centre, with the participation of Deputy Civil Protection and Crises Management Minister Nikos Hardalias.

An evaluation of the progress made in the work underway, as well as the next actions to be taken to fully normalize the situation after the cold front is the focus of the meeting.
