Buses and trolleys in Athens will not run on Wednesday due to a 24-hour strike announced by the Athens Urban Transport Organization’s (OASA) workers’ union, ANA reports.
A protest gathering is also scheduled to be held at OASA’s headquarters at 11:00 am.
The union says that OASA’s tender with the long-distance coach service KTEL, which is privately operated, should not be extended for another year, as it “does not promote the public nature of urban transportation.”
