The transfusion of liquefied gas contained in a fuel track that caught fire early Thursday afternoon at Kakia Skala, on the Athens-Corinth motorway, was completed late in the evening, reported the Fire Brigade, ANA reports.
A team of specialists was handling this particular task due to the flammable nature of the 7.2 tones cargo of liquefied gas, it was noted.
Meanwhile, road traffic on the new Athens-Corinth motorway in the direction towards Athens was restored late in the evening following several hours of closure, as was road traffic on the old Athens-Corinth motorway in both directions.
