National highway closed and trains cancelled due to bad weather in south Greece

The police on Thursday closed the Athens-bound lanes of the new Athens-Patras national highway to traffic at the 161st kilometre, in the Elaionas region, due to problems caused by the heavy rain in the area, ANA reports.
Hellenic Train, meanwhile, has canceled the Diakopto-Kalavryta-Diakopto train service on Thursday due to heavy rain and pooling of water on the line, along with partially canceling the Patras Proastiakos trains 11306 and 11307 in the section of the line between Patras station and Agios Andreas station.
