ErgOSE, a subsidiary of the Hellenic Railways Organization (OSE), said on Tuesday it had completed Contract 10005 which relates to the installation of the European Train Control System (ETCS) at specific sections of the national railway line, ANA reports.
Specifically, ErgOSE said it had installed the ETCS in the following sections: SKA-Tithorea, Domokos-Thessaloniki-Promahonas, and Inoi-Chalkida. It added however that the ETCS system could work only after the remote traffic control and signaling systems of the Athens-Thessaloniki-Promahonas railway section (under so-called Contract 717) are operable.
