A Kalavryta-Diakopto rack railway train with 90 passengers on board returned safely to Diakopto station on Monday, after it became trapped en route by a landslide near Niamata, ANA reports.
The train returned to Diakopto after heavy machinery sent by the regional authority cleared the fallen debris. According to Hellenic Train, rack railway services from Diakopto to Kalavryta have been suspended and passengers will be transported by bus, without intervening stops.
