Traffic restrictions in Athens on Sunday morning for Cancer Survivors Day event

Temporary traffic restrictions will be applied in Athens on Sunday (June 2), due to the “Run Bike Care 2024” race, ANA reports.
Restrictions will be in force from 08:00 to 10:30. They will affect mostly sections of the following streets: Syngrou Avenue, Vassilissis Amalias Avenue, Panepistimiou, Akadimias, Vassilissis Sofias and Vassileos Konstantinou Avenues, and some side streets.

In two instances, vehicles will be allowed to travel in one direction from Vassilissis Sofias to Rigillis and from Vassileos Konstantinou to Vassileos Georgiou II (the Truman statue) despite the surrounding restrictions.

The event begins at Zappeion Hall and involves a 2 km walk, a 5 km run, and a 10 km bike race to honor Cancer Survivors Day 2024. It is organized by the Association of Cancer Patients, Volunteers, and Doctors (“KEFI”) of Athens.
