Promotion of Preveza on the metro and tram in Athens

An initiative for the tourist promotion of Preveza is being implemented through the collaboration of the Chamber of Preveza and STASY S.A., with the contribution of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Preveza, which approved without compensation the permission to photograph archaeological sites and monuments in the areas of Preveza.

The produced photographic and audiovisual material is to be used to promote Preveza in the Mass Media, as well as in selected points of the urban fabric of Athens, such as the metro, tram, and other fixed-track stations.

This material will include posters and advertising spots, aiming to introduce some of the most emblematic archaeological treasures of Preveza to the general public.

The sites included in the photography permit are: Ancient Kassopi, the Necromancer of Acheron, the Roman Odeon, and the Aqueduct of Nicopolis, Kokkinopilos, the Ancient Orraon, as well as the castles of Pente Pigadia and Pantokrator. However, it is noted that the interior of Pantokrator Castle is not accessible, while access to Pente Pigadia Castle requires special attention due to scattered building material.

The photography permit is accompanied by strict conditions in order to ensure the integrity and protection of the archaeological sites. The use of the material is permitted exclusively for the purposes of tourist promotion through STASY S.A., while the alteration of the images or the transfer of the license to third parties is expressly prohibited. In addition, each photograph will be taken in the presence of an employee of the Ephorate of Antiquities and after timely notification.

This is an important strategic promotion move that, by utilizing the cultural reserve of the region, aims to attract visitors, strengthen the local economy, and recognize Preveza as a place with timeless value and invaluable historical depth.

From the Ionian coast to the hills of Nikopolis, Preveza combines landscapes of rare beauty with monuments of unique archaeological importance, therefore cultural tourism is not just an option, but a strategic advantage for the region.
