The amount of 22,000 euros will be allocated by direct assignment by the Region of the Ionian Islands for the provision of services related to the advertising promotion of the Region by creating and placing a complete visual representation of the Ionian Islands for the wrapping of 5 buses (Autobuses) for a period of 28 days, which make various routes within the city center of Rome.
The visual representation, which is planned to be placed on all sides of the buses, will be made of Vinyl. The mockup will be suitable for printing on high-quality self-adhesive vinyl and will include all the necessary technical characteristics (margins, safe zones, bleed, etc.). The Region has already sent a call for proposals to the company based in Sofia, Bulgaria, which intends to directly award the service.
The purpose of the call is to provide services for the advertising promotion of the Ionian Islands Region in the Italian market. The cost will be borne by the Public Investment Program appropriations of the approved budget of the Ionian Islands Region.
In the meantime, the Ionian Islands Region is also focusing on attracting visitors from distant markets such as South Korea. For example, in early June, the Region participated in the International Tourism Fair “Seoul International Travel Fair (SITF) 2025”, which was held at the COEX convention center in Seoul. It is one of the most important tourism exhibitions in the Asian market, which annually attracts more than 50,000 visitors, presenting the latest trends in global tourism, with the participation of over 1,100 exhibitors from international and domestic destinations.
The Region of the Ionian Islands participated as a co-exhibitor at the pavilion of the Hellenic Tourism Organization (EOT), which was located in a central location of the exhibition, with a steady attendance of the public and a strong interest in the island destinations of the Region. Visitors showed particular interest in the natural beauty, cultural heritage, and authentic gastronomy of the Ionian Islands.
