The 7th Posidonia Sea Tourism Forum will take place in Thessaloniki from April 25 to April 26, where cruise leaders from all over the world are expected to gather to discuss the industry’s challenges, the importance of the South-East Mediterranean, and the promotion of new destinations, ANA reports.
The event, which takes place every two years, will be held this year at the Makedonia Palace Hotel in Thessaloniki and comes at a time when the cruise industry expects to fully recover from the pandemic and chart a course towards a sustainable future.
Speakers will focus on significant industry topics, such as the services and experience each destination offers, the upgrading of port and tourism infrastructure, the need to properly assess the economic benefits and environmental impact for each destination, and the potential for powered docking connectivity, among others. They will also discuss the challenges of booking and allocating berths, particularly in popular ports with limited berthing capacity.
