With the arrival of Silversea Cruises’ super-luxury cruise ship Silver Spirit in the past few hours, Agios Nikolaos officially kicked off this year’s cruise season.
This year is expected to be particularly dynamic, as a total of 49 cruise ship calls are planned at the port, marking a 20% increase compared to 2024. Five Senses Consulting and Development is strategically collaborating with the port and local authorities, strengthening the development and global awareness of the destination in the cruise sector.
At the same time, there is strong interest in transforming Agios Nikolaos into a boutique homeport for small, luxury cruises, further enhancing the region’s profile as an authentic and quality destination. According to estimates, dynamic growth is expected in the next two years, with an emphasis on investments, innovation, and the strategic promotion of the port.
“2025 will be a promising year for the cruise industry in Agios Nikolaos. We continue our efforts and contacts so that in 2026 this momentum will grow even more,” said Dimitris Agapitos, president of the Municipal Port Fund, in a statement.
As he emphasizes, Agios Nikolaos is included in the planned calls of Celestyal Cruises for 2026, with an even greater number of cruise ships expected from next year at the city’s port.
