Princess Cruises, one of the world’s most iconic cruise lines, is adding another unique experience to its 2026 schedule, combining the magical phenomenon of the total solar eclipse with a fourteen-day journey to the most important coasts of Southern Europe. This is the “Mediterranean & Adriatic with Total Solar Eclipse” cruise with the luxurious Enchanted Princess (photo), which will depart circularly from Rome on August 4, 2026.
This new addition comes to enhance the interest in the series of Princess Cruises’ themed cruises dedicated to the rare astronomical phenomenon, framing the already announced departures with the ships Sky Princess (August 8, 2026 from Southampton) and Sun Princess (with itineraries of 7, 14 and 21 days from Barcelona and Athens).
On August 12, 2026, passengers of Enchanted Princess will enjoy the two-minute and 18-second total solar eclipse from an ideal location off the east coast of Spain, accompanied by special activities on board. The program includes astronomy lectures, themed food and drinks, stargazing, quizzes, and even the possibility for passengers to bring their own telescopes or participate with accessories dedicated to the phenomenon.
Cruise stops (August 4–18, 2026):
- Civitavecchia (Rome): Departure and return to the Eternal City.
- Naples (for Capri & Pompeii): A Combination of historical monuments and natural beauty.
- Kotor, Montenegro: Fjord beauty and Byzantine heritage.
