Cruise passenger traffic at the port of Heraklion recorded an upward trend in the first half of 2025, with a total of 190,606 passengers, marking an increase of 14.29% compared to the corresponding period in 2024.
This year’s increase reflects the continued confidence of cruise companies, as well as the increased response of the public to itineraries that include Heraklion.
“The stable presence of Heraklion on the cruise map is not self-evident. It is the result of continuous effort, good cooperation with the stakeholders involved, and faith in a realistic plan,” said the CEO of the Heraklion Port Authority (OLI), Mr. Minas Papadakis.
“OLI continues to work consistently and effectively, in order to offer reliable services and meet the demands of the international tourism market,” the Organization points out.
