The Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), the leading voice of the global cruise industry, today launches its new campaign titled “All Aboard Greece.” Through this initiative, representatives of the Greek government and port authorities, along with key tourism leaders, unite to promote cooperation and sustainable growth in the cruise sector in Greece.
The campaign brings together key stakeholders including government and local officials, port authorities, tourism organizations, academics, suppliers, and cruise industry professionals. Their shared message: Cruising in Greece is a powerful engine for growth and prosperity—and coordination and collaboration are essential for its long-term sustainability.
Key Highlights of the Campaign:
The campaign features four video segments showcasing testimonials and perspectives from across the cruise supply chain. The first two videos, released today, focus on:
Cruise & Economic Contribution – Featuring statements from the Secretary General for the Aegean and Island Policy, Mr. Manolis Koutoulakis, as well as agents and academics, this video highlights how cruising contributes over €1.1 billion in added value and supports hundreds of jobs in island communities.
Ports & Development – Examining various cruise destinations, the video underscores the importance of infrastructure investment and long-term planning to support Greece’s growth as a leading cruise hub.
“Cruising is particularly important for the Greek economy, as thousands of people make a living from it—and these professionals are our greatest ambassadors. We are proud to give a voice through this campaign to the individuals and professionals who bring cruising to life in Greece,”
said Maria Deligianni, CLIA’s Eastern Mediterranean Director.
Upcoming Videos:
Two additional videos — “Local Voices” and “Sustainable Cruising” — will be released soon, reinforcing the campaign’s central message of responsible development.
