Corfu among the best cruise ports in the world

The Corfu Port Authority S.A. (OLKE S.A.) announces the distinction of the port of Corfu in the recent survey by Compare the Market Australia, in which 101 cruise ports were evaluated on a global scale.

The survey was based on seven key indicators, including visitor experience, available activities and local weather conditions. According to the ranking, the port of Corfu was distinguished as:

  • 1st Cruise Port in Greece
  • Among the 10 best cruise ports in Europe
  • 19th best cruise port worldwide

The high score that the Port of Corfu received in online visitor reviews (4.2/5) highlighted the positive experience enjoyed by travelers and strengthened the climate of trust in the destination. At the same time, the significant number of activities corresponding to 193.6 per 100,000 visitors, attests to the island’s potential as a destination that offers rich leisure and cultural options.

Factors contributing to the distinction include favorable climatic conditions, such as the average visibility of 11 kilometers and mild winds, which facilitate the safe and comfortable approach of cruise ships, upgrading the overall visitor experience.
