Greece’s Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis visited the University of Western Macedonia as part of his tour of the region, ANA reports.
He praised the university’s important efforts in offering English-language programs as part of the “university internationalization” initiative. Pierrakakis emphasized the ministry’s strategic goal of expanding the reach of Greece’s higher education system, citing Italy as an example of a country that transformed into a global educational hub within a few decades. He expressed confidence that Greece, with its outstanding academic staff, can achieve similar successes.
