The Peloponnese was recently transformed into a natural setting for the filming of the international television series “Journey to Europe”, as part of a major production that showcases authentic European destinations in high-quality communities.
The episode, filmed in Greece — in collaboration with the Hellenic Tourism Organization (EOT), the European Travel Commission (ETC), Visit Peloponnese, and the Australian production company Proud Nomads — highlights the cultural identity, natural beauty, and gastronomic tradition of the region. The project also includes filming in Malta and Belgium.
The final product will be broadcast in the autumn on Channel 9 in Australia, while it will also be included in the in-flight entertainment system of Singapore Airlines, offering excellent international exposure for the Peloponnese and Greece in general. The filming took place from June 27 to 29, with the support of local organizations and visiting top destinations in the Peloponnese, such as Kardamyli and Mani (Cape Tainaro, Diros Caves, Vathia), the Castle City of Mystras, the Mainalon Trail, the Lousios Gorge, the Byzantine monasteries of Arcadia, and the historic Dimitsana.
In parallel with the television production, digital content will be produced for use on international tourism promotion channels, reinforcing the strategy of promoting Greece as a destination of authenticity, sustainability, and cultural depth.
