GNTO and Netflix collaborate on a new video for Greek tourism 

A new video featuring the breathtaking landscapes of Greece and historical landmarks from Athens and Delphi to Spetses and Paxos was released today by the Hellenic Tourism Organization (GNTO), aiming to promote the country internationally as a top tourist destination. The new video was created in collaboration with Netflix, leveraging the power of storytelling and including clips from popular shows and series from the world’s leading streaming service.

Through the video, viewers from all over the world will have the opportunity to discover and become familiar with unique images of Greece, which “star” in Netflix series, films and documentaries, such as “Maestro in Blue”, “A perfect story”, “Beckett”, “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” and “Lighthouse Lesvos”, among others. Overall, the video is an “ode” to the cultural heritage, natural beauty, and way of life of the country.

The production and release of the video is part of the collaboration signed by Netflix and the Greek National Tourism Organization in July 2024. Through this agreement, Netflix committed to supporting Greece’s tourism industry, leveraging the global appeal of its series and films filmed and set in Greece. The video will be actively utilized by the Greek National Tourism Organization, within the framework of various promotional activities, with the aim of strengthening Greece’s tourism product and attracting travelers from all over the world.
