The Ministry of Tourism has issued a call for tenders via the National System of Electronic Public Procurement (ESIDIS), inviting selected economic operators—registered in the supplier and service provider registry of the Ministry’s NSRF Executive Structure—to submit offers for a direct contract regarding the provision of Technical Assistance Services for the study titled:
“Mountain Tourism: Potential and Prospects for Sustainable Development in Greece.”
This initiative is part of an action included in Greece’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

The study falls under the broader sub-project “Mountain Tourism”, part of the “Tourism Development” action within the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
Key Objectives:
Improve Greece’s tourism product so it becomes a competitive destination for winter and mountain tourism, in line with leading European destinations.
Upgrade the infrastructure of existing ski resorts to high standards, enhancing visitor numbers and contributing to local GDP.
Extend the winter tourism season and offer more attractive mountain tourism opportunities to benefit entire regions.
Promote sustainable local development and efficient natural resource management, aiming for reduced emissions and lower energy consumption in tourism facilities.
The Ministry also emphasized the importance of modernizing the legislation concerning the construction, licensing, and operation of mountain tourism infrastructure as a key tool to attract investment and boost employment.
