The financial participation of the GNTO in the Cliff Diving Agios Nikolaos event, which will be held from 27 to 28 September 2025, in Agios Nikolaos, Lassithi, Crete, has been approved.
The GNTO will allocate 6,200 euros including VAT to Cliff Diving Agios Nikolaos, organized by Olympia Culture S.A., and concerns the coverage of part of eligible promotional and advertising expenses such as the costs of printing communication material, hosting guests, renting audiovisual equipment, etc., provided that they will not be covered by another public or private entity, in return for the following compensatory / communication benefits for the GNTO.
According to the Organization, this event is based on the promotion of Sports Tourism, contributing to the strengthening of the reputation of the destination “Greece” as a destination of unique and multi-thematic experiences, through new incentives, by attracting the attendance of athletes from abroad and domestically – with special interests in thematic tourism.
This specific form of tourism includes all tourist activities, entertainment and recreation that take place in the maritime area of ??a country hosting and hosting tourists (accommodation, restaurants, food). The Greek seas and coasts, with the many comparative advantages they offer, have made this type of event very popular, both among Greeks and among foreign athletes, the GNTO points out.
The compensatory benefits of promotion are the following…
Insert an internet banner on the official website of the organization with a hyperlink to the website www.visitgreece.gr.
Projection of the GNTO video on a screen during the action (before the start or at the end of the action).
Mention of the kind support of the GNTO in all printed and electronic communication (such as posters, programs, electronic banners).
Possibility of hosting, staying or covering the cost of the trip of the members of the committee certifying the good execution of the work of the action.
Mention of the kind support of the GNTO in news letters and press releases.
Possibility of granting the GNTO video from the events of the action (unedited footage, duration 10-30’’ with natural sound), free of related and copyright rights for unlimited use and duration by the GNTO. The material that will be delivered to the GNTO will be included in the Audiovisual Material Bank maintained by the Organization, to which journalists and tourism professionals (bloggers, influencers, etc.) will have access with the aim of using it to promote the country.
The expenditure will be borne by the Public Investment Budget of the Greek National Tourism Organization.
